Introduction to Classroom Management
What is Classroom Management? Classroom management is is how a teacher chooses to run their classrooms. This can be student led where the teacher uses the interests and ideas of students in the classroom, incorporating them into the lessons and classroom activities or teacher led where the teacher solely imparts their knowledge and what they feel the student should be learning without any input from the students. Classroom management can either have a negative or positive effect on students' outcomes. Researchers interested in various educational outcomes sometimes point out that, although classroom management strategies are beneficial to students' cognitive development, they may be detrimental to motivational development (McCaslin & Good, 1992).

Strategies in managing a classroom effectively
There are several strategies in managing a classroom effectively . One of this strategies is the principle of establishing a positive classroom environment for all students. This encompasses having an effective teacher-student relationships, and helps teachers have a good foundation for teaching students for better academic outcomes (Wubbels, Brekelmans, Van Tartwijk, & Admiraal, 1999). How well a teacher is able to manage their classroom sets the stage for students learning and allows for a conducive learning environment. Without a well managed classroom, learning environments tend to be disorganized and chaotic (Elias & Schwab, 2006, p. 309). According to Evertson and Weinstein (2006), classroom management as "the actions teachers take to create an environment that supports and facilitates both academic and social-emotional learning" (pp. 4-5). This definition concentrates on the responsibility of the teacher and relates the use of classroom management strategies to multiple learning goals for students. There are five strategies of managing a classroom effectively and proceeds to further explain that as previously mentioned it fosters positive student teacher relationships. Helps teachers to better understand their students' learning needs and styles. While, on one hand, teacher-centered, externally regulated environments might be expected to impair students' sense of autonomy, and a well-structured environment which clarifies limits in an informational way may establish a learning context that promotes feelings of success and accomplishment (Kunter, Baumert, & Köller, 2007). An effective classroom enables student develop better social, emotional skills and enables teachers to better implement evidence-based interventions for struggling students in their classrooms.

Effective Classroom Management in the Early Years (Infants)
To create an effective classroom for children in early years and infant rooms teachers must utilize several skills, one of which is ensuring they create simple, fun and interesting routines that the children can use daily. The teacher can utilize transition time to teach students instruction, like singing color songs while moving from one center to another, or counting to get into a line etc. The teacher also should use the students interests around the room and for teaching to get them to learn. As a teacher you will need to use simple language that allows the students easily understand you at their age, therefore instruction should be delivered explicitly. In an early infant classroom setting it is highly advised that instruction should be child led. This simply means that instruction needs to be designed in such a way that it encompasses a child's interest so as to make learning fun and easy for that child.
